Educational Supporter of the Year

This award recognises those within the educational setting that support young people, staff and the life of the school or early learning and childcare setting and wider community.

 

Lifetime Achievement

This award is open to all qualified teachers and head teachers. This award aims to recognise their work and commitment within the establishment and the wider community.

 

Headteacher / Principal / Dean of the year

This award recognises people within leadership who support staff by motivating them and leading them to their full potential.

 
Teacher/ Lecturer of the Year

This award is for teachers and lecturers who have gone above and beyond their job role in inspiring all students to reach there potential.

 

Transforming lives through partnerships

This category recognizes educational settings who have transformed the life chances for young people through effective partnership working with organisations offering there services.

 

Secondary School of the Year

This award is for the most outstanding Secondary education establishment. We will be looking for evidence of how the school works as an establishment on its own and within the community that it is part of.

 

Outstanding Contribution to the local community

This award is for an individual or a team who have contributed to the community. This can be showcased in the form of a project . Judges will be looking for information about the initiative, background to the project and outcomes of it.

 

Early years school of the year

This award is for the most outstanding Early Years Education Establishment. We will be looking for evidence of how the school works as an establishment on its own and within the community that it is part of.

 

Outstanding Support for Students

This award for an educational establishment that prides itself with the support that has been given to the students.

 

Primary School of the year

This award is for the most outstanding primary education establishment. We will be looking for evidence of how the school works as an establishment on its own and within the community that it is part of.

 

Sciences, Technologies, Engineering, and Mathematics Award (STEM)

This category recognises the educational settings who are helping children and young people develop STEM skills and apply these across the four contexts for learning.

Educational Resource provider of the year

This award recognises organisations that provide educational resources to those working with Education. 

 

Entrepreneurial Education Establishment of the year

This establishment has to show how teaching has embedded into enterprise activities and has continued to grow with the success of students becoming entrepreneurs.

 

Educational Provider of  Apprenticeships

This award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate an educational provider’s exceptional contributions to the apprenticeship programmes they provide.

 

Further Education College of the year

The college will have to demonstrate how staff teaching has impacted on students and their lives and have gone the extra mile to turn students around to become high achievers. 

 

University of the year

The university in the region will have to demonstrate how staff teaching has impacted on students and their lives and have gone the extra mile to turn students around to become high achievers.

The Process

Nominate

Nominations are open for all categories. The closing date for all entries is on the 3rd May 2017.

Shortlist

6 weeks prior the awards a shortlist will be made public and voting will be opened to the general public.

Judging

A panel of independent judges will then review the shortlist and agree on one winner for each individual category.

One great night

The winners for each category will be
announced on the 7th July 2017 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground – Birmingham
